Mark your calendars, folks. If you like drinking beer for a good cause, and if you like drinking beer on Tuesdays, you’re gonna want to block off April 19th and come down to Standard. We’re hosting an event to support POST, a nonprofit that has provided outdoor programs and trips to the Garfield High School community for over 3 decades. All proceeds from the night will be donated to help the organization provide scholarships for youth to attend Desert School, POST’s largest trip of the year.
More on POST: POST strives to encourage environmental awareness, leadership, diversity, self-confidence, and knowledge of the outdoors. We are proud to build a sense of community and a sense of self through outdoor engagement. Our trips range in activity from rock climbing to snow camping, basic survival skills to kayaking, and hiking to alpine climbing. After 30 years of programming under the wing of Garfield High School, POST recently became its own nonprofit in order to serve the Garfield community and beyond!
More about POST can be found on their website.
The event starts at 6pm and will go until close. It’s a potluck and raffle event, and any food brought to the event will earn you a raffle ticket. Donations of all types and sizes are encouraged, and any checks written should be addressed to “Post”. Come support your community and let’s all have a party! If you can’t stick around, grab a growler to go, and feel good knowing you’re still supporting the cause.
